Marketplace for parking spaces in Dubai.
One of the major challenges facing modern cities is the shortage of available parking spaces. Dubai is no exception. Our client from the UAE set out to tackle this issue and, with our support, developed an innovative app that connects people searching for parking with property owners looking to rent out their spaces.
The Innovedge Software team was tasked with developing the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) for the Yalla Parking startup, which included:
Once the core business requirements of the system were defined, the first step in implementation was prototyping. At this stage, the main focus was on building the application’s architecture: identifying its key screens, mapping out the user flow, and selecting third-party services to be integrated.
Building a startup is all about the rapid launch of an MVP (Minimum Viable Product), which often means leveraging third-party services rather than developing complex features from scratch. In our case, to support an interactive city map of Dubai (including route building to parking spots, markers for available spaces, and more), our development team integrated the Google Maps API. Another critical feature was seamless payment processing — for this, we implemented integration with the Stripe payment gateway.
Once the prototype was completed, our design team prepared three different design concepts based on the client’s brand book. While having a brand book is not mandatory, it is highly recommended. If it is not available, our designers rely on the client’s preferences and style guidelines.
Typically, a design concept includes three key screens. In this case, we presented the client with designs for the login screen, the customer information form, and a generated document form prepared for signing.
After the client approved the final design concept, our designers created the remaining screens for the prototype, ensuring a consistent look and feel across the entire application.
During the implementation phase, our development team took into account the client’s requirement for cross-platform mobile applications, as well as the use of a modern framework for building the web application.
For the mobile application, we used .NET MAUI (the evolution of Microsoft’s Xamarin.Forms), which made it possible to maintain a single codebase for both iOS and Android. Since the backend of the entire system was also built on the .NET platform, development costs were significantly reduced without compromising quality — the same team of developers was able to work seamlessly across different components of the system.
As a result, within just six months, the MVP for the YallaParking startup (later rebranded as FlexiPark) was developed, tested, and successfully launched. The product went on to secure investment at a startup forum in Saudi Arabia and continues to grow and evolve to this day.
